Description:Provides leadership for field personnel through coaching and development that contributes to overall customer satisfaction.
Duties:Primary Responsibilities
• Insure timely completion of all orders for installation, service and/or proper notification of delays
• Work with customers to resolve installation and service related complaints regarding quality of service and employee conduct
• Provide ongoing coaching and development of personnel
• Regularly ride with technicians to mentor and monitor quality and quantity of work
• Track and record employee performance against established standards for annual merit increases
• Schedule routing of personnel with other IR Supervisors
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of personnel
• Interface with other departments to provide seamless support to customers
• Prepare and verify work and payroll sheets to insure accuracy
• Insure that all Insight property in use by employees is properly utilized and maintained
• Perform all duties of field personnel when necessary
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
Qualifications:Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of basic electricity and electronics
• Ability to motivate, inspire teamwork and supervise employees of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers
• Proficient in multi-tasking, working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Ability to work well in a customer service environment
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), workers compensation and related state and local codes
• Work on assigned projects with minimum supervision
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and apply new sales techniques
• Ability to effectively operate small hand tools including electric hammer, drills, crimpers, and wrenches
• Knowledgeable of current and upcoming technical developments in the industry regarding proper field maintenance and operation
• Proficient in Windows applications, typing and internet navigation skills

Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three to five years experience as a technician
• Previous coaching, supervisory or training experience preferred
• Good driving record and valid drivers license

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Ability to regularly lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to regularly work at heights of at least 40’
• Ability to regularly handle a 28’ (min.) portable ladder
• Ability to regularly climb utility poles (including the use of pole climbers (gaffs), pole steps and portable ladders)
• Have the ability to push, pull, bend, lift, dig, crawl, stoop, stand, squat, kneel and occasionally work in confined spaces
• Work outside throughout the year in a variety of weather conditions, including temperature extremes
